Rigoberto Rosales Obituary

Rigoberto Rosales, a cherished soul of deep faith and boundless love, was called home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on July 25, 1934, in Reynosa, Mexico. Rigoberto was a beacon of light to all who knew him, illuminating the paths of many with his wisdom and kindness. He passed away peacefully at home in McAllen, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Rigoberto's life was a testament to his unwavering Christian faith, which guided his every step and decision. He walked through life with the courage of David, the wisdom of Solomon, and the gentleness of John the Beloved. Rigoberto was a loving husband to his late wife, Margarita L. Rosales, whose memory he honored every day since her passing. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, instilling in their children, Rigoberto Rosales Jr., Margarita R. Perez, Alma R. Chapa, Doris Rosales, and Alicia Rosales, the values of faith, hope, and charity.

As a father, Rigoberto was both a teacher and a companion. He was a handy man, always ready to fix a broken toy or mend a fence, teaching his children the value of self-reliance and hard work. His legacy continues to live on through his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his teachings and the memory of his unconditional love.

Rigoberto found joy in the simplicity of life. His daily walks were a time of reflection and communion with God's creation, and his garden was a place of peace, where he cultivated not only plants but also the seeds of wisdom he so generously shared with others. He believed that in every leaf, flower, and blade of grass, there was a lesson to be learned about the Creator's love and the beauty of life.

Those who knew Rigoberto will remember him as a man of courage, who faced life's trials with the strength of his convictions and a heart full of grace.  His love for his family, friends, and neighbors knew no bounds, and he lived his life as a reflection of the love that Christ has for each of us.

As we bid farewell to Rigoberto, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace in the eternal embrace of our Lord. His life was a beautiful journey of devotion, and he has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rigoberto's story does not end here, for he has entered into the Kingdom of Heaven, where he will watch over us until we are joyfully reunited.

May we honor Rigoberto Rosales by living our lives with the same love, courage, and faith that he exemplified every day. We take comfort in the promise of the resurrection and the knowledge that Rigoberto's spirit is now with the heavenly host, singing praises to God Almighty. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant, until we meet again.
