Roberto Palacios

Mr. Roberto Palacios passed away on Wednesday,  February 10, 2021 He was born on August 25th 1943 in Reynosa Taumaulipas México to Don Máximo Palacios and Doña Ana Maria Chávez, whom he LOVED with all his heart. Roberto Palacios was a GREAT Father, grand father, and a great friend. He loved and adore his wife, children and grand children. He was a DEVOTED FAMILY MAN.EVERYTHING he did was for his family. He sacrificed all his comforts for his family. He was a very STRONG MANLY MAN physically, mentally, and emotionally. He was a man of courage. Nothing ever brought him down and in his very difficult moments of his life, he overcame and conquered himself, his impulses, and his surroundings. He did things his way, all the way to the end, standing on his own two feet. His great strength was God. He would remind his family that EVERYTHING he had and was, was thanks to God who protected him through everything during his life. "Blessed be God for all that I have and am", he would often say. He was an epitome of the meaning of the word "DAD". He was a great example of what a just man was. He was a provider of not just the physical, but also the giver of emotional support that should be in a Dad. He was known for his strong work ethic. He was an optimistic thinker. He would encourage, uplift, and support his family in that which was honest and true. He demanded respect, but gave respect where respect was due. He was a man of wisdom.

Roberto Palacios Chávez is survived by his brother Oscar Palacios Chávez, his children (smallest to youngest) Oscar Palacios, Flor Mirasol Garza, Ismael Hernandez. Grandchildren (starting with the youngest) Palacios - Janelle, Orion, Oscar, Jasmine, Jacob. Garza - Miguel Armando, Mariana. Hernandez - Elijah,  Leah. He was LOVED by his family and respected by those who knew him. He gave us the greatest gift to his children - their confidence. He will forever live in our hearts. Love you DAD.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Chapel service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 15, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
