Roberto Rios

McAllen ~ Roberto Rios, 85, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born on Thursday, January 1, 1940 in Publeo Nuevo, the son of Arturo Rios and Rafaela Hernandez.

Roberto is preceded in death by his parents: Arturo Rios and Rafaela Hernandez and a daughter: Marisol Rios.

He is survived by his wife: Irma Rios; children: Rafaela Rios, Berta Rios, Roberto Rios, Jr., Irma Rios, Criselda Rios and Jesus Rios; siblings: Juan, Angel, Lydia, Guadalupe and Maruca; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 at on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 306 S. 15th St., McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
