Roberto Ruiz

Edinburg, Texas ~ Robert Ruiz, 43, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Pharr, Texas. Robert, as he was known by his family and friends was born August 21, 1977 in Mexico to Juan Ruiz and Margarita (Duran) Ruiz. Robert was a resident of Edinburg. He graduated from Channel View High School. He was a master mechanic, a welder, handyman of many traits. Robert loved hopping his low riders, where he was a member of the Veteranos Car Club, he loved family and friend gatherings, a beloved husband and father Robert loved serving God. He was a lead usher at his church. Robert loved to joke with people to put a smile on their faces. He truly lived life to its fullest. Rest In Peace Roberto Ruiz.

Robert was preceded in death by his brother: Margarito Ruiz.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Manuela Rodriguez; his parents: Juan Reyes Ruiz and Margarita Duran Ruiz; his children: Jose Vasquez, Carlos Sandoval, Javier Sandoval, Angelina Vasquez, Audrie Vasquez, Victoria Mora, Alyssa Ruiz, Alexis Martinez, and Rebecca Ruth Ruiz; his siblings: Tony Ruiz, Juan Ruiz, Bardominao "Bardo" Ruiz, Carmen Ruiz, and Rubi Ceballos.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a religious service to begin at 7:00 PM at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. A second viewing will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Vazquez Funeral Home, 750 Uvalde, in Houston, Texas. Funeral and burial services will be Monday, June 14, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the San Jacinto Cemetery, 14659 East Freeway in Houston. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
