McAllen ~ Rodolfo “Rudy” Gerardo Salinas, 39, went to his eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, January 14, 2022. He was born on Saturday, July 24, 1982 in McAllen Texas to Apolonio Salinas and Maria Juana Salinas.
Rudy is survived by his dear loving mom, Maria Juana Salinas; his son, Rodolfo Gerardo Salinas Jr. (RJ); wife, Lynda LeeAnn Salinas; children, Rayden Salinas, Kimberly Martinez and Liam Martinez; his sisters, Lilia Salinas, Laura Salinas, Erika Salinas, Karla Salinas, and Agny Salinas; his brothers, Apolonio Salinas, Felix Salinas and Jorge Salinas; and nieces and nephews.
Rudy was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, compadre and friend. He liked to barbecue while listening to Banda music. Rudy was a family man who loved his family in a very unique, gentle, loyal and distinct manner. He livened up any party, loved to entertain and make everyone laugh. He was a kind person who would try to help everyone either time or monetary even if it meant leaving him with empty pockets. Rudy had a heart of gold and a smile to reflect his patient and kind heart.
Services will be a private family and friends event only. Visitations will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm, followed by Eulogy at 8:00 pm. A Chapel Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at the Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
