Rosa Linda Garcia

McAllen ~ Rosa Linda Garcia, 50,  entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at her residence in McAllen. She was born on Sunday, September 3, 1950 in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Odilon Cavazos and Elvira Zapata.

She is survived by her children: Diana Nieves (Ulysses), Jessica Garcia (Jose Humberto Gonzalez) and Vigo Javier Garcia, Jr.; siblings: Manuela Hopkins, John P. Cavazos and Odilon Cavazos­­†; grandchildren: Ulysses Nieves Jr., Jayden Ivey Gonzalez, Jizaiah Skylar Gonzalez, Nayeli Sade Nieves, Jeziana Rose Gonzalez and Mariella Natalia Nieves.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm  Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen with a prayer service at 7:00  pm. Funeral Mass will be held  at 10:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2025 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow at 11:00 am at Valley Memorial Garden.
