Mr. Ruben Cobos, 60, born April 3, 1960 in San Juan, Texas to Alfredo and Eloisa (Handy) Cobos entered eternal rest on Monday, March 29, 2021. Ruben lived in McAllen for most of his life.
Ruben Cobos had no enemies in his eyes, everyone who got a hello from him instantly became his friend. He knew no strangers, everyone was a person who was going to be his friend one day. He had a smile that would instantly make you happy if you were sad, a twinkle in his eye that assured that you had a friend in him. He was a God fearing man and loving husband to the greatest woman he ever knew for 30 years. A dad to his greatest treasures on earth, anyone who knew him knew that his wife and 2 children were his world. He was a friend to many, an uncle, a brother and a brother in Christ to many. He had a serving heart and a passion to help everyone and anyone he could. He loved God before anything and also prayed that The Cowboys would win, his passion of barbecuing went hand in hand with it. He was proud of his Native American Heritage, a poet and a songwriter. He would take any opportunity he could to go hunting and his love for wildlife was shown in his art. He was here to be light, bringing out God's colors in the world. God said it was time for him to stop being an artist on this earth and took him to see the most beautiful art and colors he could never imagine on earth.
