Mr Ruben C. Guajardo,59, entered eternal rest May 20, 2020 at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Ruben was born April 16, 1961 in Monterrey,Mexico to Catarino and Felisa (Garza) Guajardo. Ruben had lived in Pharr for most of his life. He truly lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed going to the shooting range and target shoot. He loved doing projects of welding and gardening. Ruben had his very own chicken coop where he raised his own chickens. He loved playing with his grandchildren, running after them and playing catch. 

Ruben C. Guajardo will be dearly missed by his family and those that came to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife- Catarina Pruneda Guajardo; His children- Ruben Israel Guajardo, Josue Isaias Guajardo, Elias Eliseo Guajardo, Karla Cecilia Guajardo; His Siblings- Isaias Guajardo, Juan Manuel Guajardo, Elazar Guajardo, Maria Magalena Guajardo, Daniel Guajardo, Rosa Melba Guajardo ; Four Grandchildren.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday, May 22, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. A prayer service will start at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery in Edinburg. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
