San Juana Rios

McAllen ~ San Juana Rios Garcia, 85, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her home. She was born on Sunday, June 13, 1937 in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of Julian and Maria (Saenz) Garcia. San Juana liked to work, cook and iron. She really liked dancing and helping people. She had a big heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Rios Arellano; son, Gerardo Joel Rios Garcia; parents: Julian Garcia, Maria (Saenz) Garcia (McAllen); siblings: Francisca Lucio (McAllen), Alfonso Garcia (McAllen), Encarnacion and Ramona Garcia (California), Jose Garcia and Maria Garcia (McAllen).Isidro Garcia and Elisa Garcia (Idaho) and Alfredo Garcia.

She is survived by her children: Camila Rios Garcia, Cristela Rios Garcia, Jose Alfredo Rios Garcia (Lupita Garza), Juan Pablo Rios Garcia, Maricela Rios Garcia; grandchildren: Cody Rios, Ashley V. Rios, Natalie Rios, Christopher E. Ochoa, Gerardo J. Rios, Jose Raul Rios, Christian Rios, Eloy R. Rios, Andrew A Rios, Ashley V. Rios, Corby E. Rios and Ruby Kaylan Rios; five great-grandchildren; Jayden Rios, Audrey Rios and Malakai Rios; brother:Ramon (Ramona) Garcia (Idaho); sister-in-law: Hermila Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at El Buen Pastor Lutheran Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at 11:30 am Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
