Obituary

 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 1 Timothy 4:7. 

         On April 14th, 2021 San Juanita "Janie" Giordano completed her ten month long fight with stomach cancer and was accepted into the Lord's arms. Born on March 6, 1949 and a life long resident of McAllen Texas, she was reunited with her father, Francisco Rodriguez. She was a devout Catholic, and proud servant of Christ, loving her time in her garden.

Janie is survived by her mother, Maria De la Luz Sotelo Rodriguez, her Husband Angelo Giordano, and her daughter Giovanna Giordano-Kaminski (Samuel), Janie was blessed with a wonderful, close family, brother Francisco J. Rodriguez (Mirta), sisters Maria Elena Davis (Cliff), Teresa R. Rodriguez (Antonio), Martha E. Martinez (Ralph), Ana Maria Hernandez (David), Maria del Rosario Maldonado (Jorge), Patricia Mata (Ramiro), and Veronica Rodriguez, as well as her 14 beloved nieces and nephews. 

There will be a viewing and Rosary on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen, Texas 78501.  Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church at 11 am on Thursday, April 22, 2021 with a burial to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens.
