McAllen ~ Santiago Villarreal, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Village Care Nursing Home in McAllen. He was born on Wednesday, January 27, 1937 in Edinburg, Texas, the son of Pedro Villarreal and Teodora Arevalo.
He is survived by his children: Juanita Villarreal, Sandra Villarreal, Santiago Villarreal Jr., Michael Villarreal, and Jesus Villarreal
Santiago is also survived by his sisters: Beatriz Garcia of McAllen, Texas; Maria Gonzalez of Pharr, Texas; and San Juana Loredo of Houston, Texas; his brothers: Miguel Villarreal of San Antonio, Texas and Lazaro Villarreal of Mercedes, Texas.
Santiago will be remembered for his strength, his presence, and the love he shared with his family. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him.
Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. An Honorary Ceremonial service will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Chapel will close at 9:00 pm
