Sara Rios Obituary
McAllen - Sara M. Rios, 94, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at McAllen Medical Center. Sara was born December 17, 1919 in Edinburg, TX. She is the daughter of the late Mariano and the late Maria (Garcia) Pulido. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Rios.
She is survived by ten children, Maria Reyes Rios, Gerardo Rios, Juan Jose Rios, Maria del Refugio Melecio, Guillermo Rios, Sara Elia Ceballos, Gonzalo Alonzo Rios, Maria Lydia Montoya, Josefina Tamez and Jose Alfonso Rios; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, July 26, 2014 and from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, July 27, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 am Monday, July 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net
