With profound sorrow, the family of Selvino Padilla, Jr. announces his passing on Friday, November 19, 2021, at his home in McAllen, Texas.
Selvino was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from UCLA Law, he moved to McAllen, Texas where he devoted more than 30 years to the practice of law, working first with Legal Aid and then building a successful private practice serving the Rio Grande Valley.
He is survived by his children, Severa, Selvino III, Celeste, and Selina, and his sisters Rosita and Selma. He was predeceased by his father Selvino Sr., his mother Maria, and his brother Richard.
On Friday, December 3, 2021, a memorial will be held at Rivera Funeral Home (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501) from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at Koko's restaurant.
