Mr. Severiano Santiago,,79, entered eternal rest Monday, April 26, 2021 in McAllen, Texas. Severaino was born February 21, 1942 in Zapotiltic, Mexico to Alfonso and Elpidia (Cortez) Santiago. Severiano lived in McAllen for most of his life.  He loved being around family enjoying good music, enjoyed playing his lottery scratching his ticket as a hobby. Severiano was a had worker. Started working at 8yrs old to help his family. His values continues. He also worked as a bricklayer, building houses in the weekend to maintain in his family. He loved to tell stories and talk about the old days, always a joker taking funny pictures making everyone laugh. He loved all his family and was always there when he was needed. Severiano truly lived life to its fullest.

His was preceded in death by his parents; His wife-Simona Santiago in 2018

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children-Marta A Castro, Mario A Santiago ,María A Santiago, Francisco X Santiago, Adela Santiago, Simon A Santiago; HIs sister-Alma Rosa Ibarra; His brother-Ricardo Santiago; 11 grand children-Berta ,Amanda, Angie, Heather, Melissa, Salvador ,Álvaro, Pricilla, Simón, Victoria. Had eight great grandkids.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM ay San Juan Diego Catholic Church if McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad cemetery in McAllen.
