Mr. Severo Valadez,54, passed into eternal rest Sunday, June 21, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home in McAllen, Texas. He was born February 11, 1966 to Daniel and Lupita Valadez in McAllen, Texas. Severo was a life long resident of McAllen. He enjoyed fishing, loved to BBQ with family and friends, having a beer or two. Severo was a "Jack of all Trades". He knew plumbing, concrete, electrical among other things. Severo never said no to anybody that needed help. He truly lived life to its fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Javier Valadez.
Left to cherish his memory is his son- Louis Valadez; Two daughters- Kimberly Valadez, Linda Valadez; His brother Daniel Valadez Jr., Four grandchildren; His Aunts- Domitila Hovey, Hope Villacana, Juanita Villacana, Maria Louisa Villacana; His Cousin- Mary "Betty" Hovey; Also extended family and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. Wear face coverings while inside building. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the funeral home chapel. We continue to ask that those at risk or those not feeling well stay home and reach out to the family through our obituary page.
A gathering to celebrate Severo's life will be Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd in McAllen from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 24, 2020 at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow a Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in MIssion.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be- Louis Valadez, Daniel Valadez, Richard Valadez, Michael Villacana, Michael Ernest Villacana, and Arturo Martinez
