Sylvia T. Garza

McAllen - Sylvia T. Garza, 84, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 16, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born September 9, 1934 in Los Saenz, Starr County, Texas, She was the daughter of the late Fermin and the late Eva (Moraida) Treviño. She was a lifelong resident of McAllen and had worked at J. Edelsteins Furniture for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; .

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years Mr. Cipriano Garza; six children: Dalinda "Dolly" Salinas, Leroy (Alicia) Garza, Eva Alamia, Esmeralda (Rene) Rocha, Cipriano (Dolores) Garza, Jr. and Sylvia (Arturo) Segura; sister Julia T. Vera; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2019 with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
