Valentin S. Cruz

McAllen ~ Valentin S. Cruz, 95, entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 29, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sunday, April 20, 1930 in La Grulla, Texas the son of Policarpio Cruz and Paula Sanchez. 

He is survived by his wife: Virginia R. Cruz; his children: Yolanda Lozano, Estella Vasquez, Jose Abel Cruz, Jesus Gabriel Cruz, Isabel Vasquez, and Diana Morales; sister: Maria Esperanza Soliz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.                      

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025 with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 900 S. 23rd St, McAllen. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave., McAllen.
