Victor Saenz, who was born on February 20, 1958, in McAllen, Texas, and passed away on September 3, 2026, in the same beloved city, lived a life marked by devotion to family, quiet strength, and the enduring ties of home.
He was a lifelong resident of McAllen, Texas, where he built a life surrounded by the people and places he cherished most. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his warm spirit, and the dignity with which he carried himself through every season of life. He was a man who valued family above all else and found his greatest joy in the love he shared with those closest to him.
Victor is survived by his children, Victor Saenz, Jr. and his wife, Margarita Barrientos, and Maritza Saenz and her husband, Alex Luna, Sr. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Aisha Gonzalez, Melanie Saenz, Marlene Saenz, Matthew Saenz, Alex Luna, Jr., Miranda Luna, and Meilana Luna, as well as three great-grandchildren, Adaline Gonzalez, Addison Gonzalez, and Amari Sandoval. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in each generation that followed him.
He is also survived by his siblings, Noemi “Mimi” Saenz Liscano, Mary Y. Taylor, Norma Lee de la Rosa, Hector Saenz, and Guadalupe L. Saenz, Jr. The bonds he shared with his brothers and sisters were an important part of his life, and those relationships remained a source of comfort, laughter, and lasting connection throughout the years.
Victor’s life was one of simple but meaningful blessings. He understood the value of hard work, the importance of loyalty, and the strength that comes from standing beside one another through life’s challenges. He will be remembered for the love he gave freely, the memories he helped create, and the example he set for his family through his kindness and resilience.
His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who loved him, but his memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched. The family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy is carried forward in the stories shared, the lessons remembered, and the love that remains among those he leaves behind.
