Victor C. Soto

McAllen ~ Victor C. Soto, 92, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at home in McAllen. He was born on July 28, 1928 in Mercedes, Texas, the son of Manuel A. and Maria (Cano) Soto. He loved his family, was the life of any party or gathering. He loved music and dancing. His favorite song was "El Rey". He was a giving person.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons: Clarencio Soto and Ricardo Soto; grandson: Phillip Serros.

He is survived by his loving wife: Minerva Munoz Soto; children: Guadalupe Soto Roque, Esmeralda Soto Martinez, Victor (Rose) Soto Jr., Daniel (Margie) Soto, Mario A. Soto, Gerardo Silguero, Tommy (Maya) Silguero, Sandra Silguero and Ysabel (Jaime) Silguero Aguilar; brothers: Eutiquio "Cano" Soto and Antonio C. Soto; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Chapel Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Interment will follow at a later date (Weather Delay) to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
