Victoria Diaz Whatley

Mission ~ Victoria Diaz Whatley, 90, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was born on Saturday, June 15, 1935 in Glen Flora, Texas, the daughter of Leonardo Diaz and Ramona Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ben S. Whatley; a sister: Rafaela Sotelo and brothers: Vicente Diaz and Lino Diaz.

She is survived by her children: Gloria (Eric) Rivera, Gabriel A. (Evelia) Whatley, Gerardo (Iliana) Whatley and George (Jo Ann) Whatley; brother: Roman Diaz; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church of McAllen. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Valley Memorial Gardens of Mission.
