Yolanda G. Barrientos, 82, of McAllen, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Yolanda was a loving and devoted woman whose greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for the love she shared, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and generations of family who were blessed to know and love her. Her memory will continue to live on through the beautiful family she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Guajardo and Juvencio Guajardo; her grandchildren, Jose Luis Garza, Beto Garza, Jennifer Navarro, Michelle Reyes, and Adan Demetrio Barrientos, Jr; and her great-grandson, Angel Acosta III.

Yolanda is survived by her children, Adan (Idolina) Barrientos, Tina (Juan Rodriguez) Acosta, Betty (Jose Luis) Garza, and Vicky Barrientos; her grandchildren, Angel Acosta, Jr., Juan Rodriguez, Alyssa Acosta, Bonnie Barrientos, Coco De La Garza, Brandy Puga, Star Faz, Janette (Efrain) Villegas, and Jaylen Rodriguez; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, who will forever cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
