The loss of my husband has been the most difficult situation my children and I have gone through. Mr. Marc A. Gonzalez and his staff did a superb job in helping us plan my husband's service. The most minute of requests were granted with the upmost compassion and detail to service was excellent.

I would like to thank the entire staff at Rivera Funeral Home for their services and care during our time of need. My Mother was placed in Hospice Service and I made a call one evening to inform myself of services and costs. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly in giving me the information I needed and the funeral director Marc Gonzalez was very prompt on returning my call. I was comforted in being told that at any time of the day or night all I had to do was make the call and they would be at our residence at whatever hour. When it came to the passing of my Mother the process of filling out paperwork and getting things in order was an absolute ease with their assistance. I also appreciate their professionalism and making sure I was made aware promptly of any problems that may have developed and keeping me informed as to the times of cremation taking place.... I was kept informed of anything regarding my Mother and I was very happy about that.
Once again Thank you to all staff members especially to those that came in to my home to take my mother, I thank them for their kindness & gentleness with her. Mr. Gonzalez, I would like to thank you and your entire staff for all you did for us as we mourned the loss of our father. You were there for us every step of the way and fulfilled our every need, comforting us and supporting us like you would your own family. The slide show of pictures along with the music truly was magnificent and it enabled us to celebrate life rather than remember his death. It not only was a great comfort to us, but it was a great way for mourners to reminisce and get to know him.

From the Garcia-Esparza family we would like to express our gratitude to Marc Gonzalez and the family from Rivera’s funeral home. My babe Patrick A. Esparza passed away on August 15 at MD Anderson hospital in Houston Texas. I called Marc and told him my babe passed and we are in Houston he told me not to worry about anything he would get my babe back to McAllen. The next morning we went to make the arrangements Marc took care of everything from talking to Diana from Rosa Lawn, flowers, music, the rosary, etc. They treated us like family. Everything was so beautiful. I told Marc my babe wanted to be near my parents at Rose Lawn and they made it happened. I had no worries that it allowed me to mourn my babe.
I am still in contact with Marc if I need anything to call him.
This was the third time we used Rivera’s they also to care of my parents when they passed Alfredo D Garcia and Mary Ann Bernal Garcia.

Our family has had two beautiful services for my in laws facilitated by Mr. Marc Gonzalez at Rivera’s Funeral home in Mcallen. When my brother unexpectedly passed away I knew I wanted to have the service at Rivera’s. I called the funeral home and asked for Mr. Marc Gonzalez; even though it was late he assured me he would be there to receive my brother. From that moment on Marc and Krystal treated us like family. Krystal did an amazing job helping me organize the photos that went best with the music that I picked. She created a beautiful video that our family can look back on. When we met with Marc to make arrangements he was compassionate and listened to how I wanted to honor my brother. My brother was a Green Bay Packers Fan and I wanted to incorporate it into the service. Mr. Gonzalez did his best to help accommodate the Green bay sport items I bought, where they fit and looked best. Marc knew how important it was to our family and he went above and beyond to help make it happen at the service and continued on to the cemetery. My family and I were deeply touched. Thank you Marc Gonzalez and Rivera’s Funeral home the service was exactly what our family envisioned; it was indeed a celebration of my brother’s life.

My father Hector Guerra passed away on July 16 2019. We decided to go with Rivera Funeral Home for the services and it was the best choice. Mr. Gonzalez and the staff treated my family and myself like FAMILY it made our sorrow less painful with all the support given to us. The dedication they put into my fathers funeral services was phenomenal, beyond exceptional. My father received so much love from Rivera Funeral Home. My grandfather, Joseph A Sahadi was the first one from out family to have a service there at Rivera funeral home back in 1996. We have always had our services there with them. I never thought as the eldest from my siblings that I too, would one day be making arrangements for my father, Jose Alonzo who sadly passed away on May 25th of this year. It was a very hard thing for me to do as I didn’t even know where to start. From the moment my dads eyes closed and he was no longer with us, to the moment we were able to say goodbye, Krystal, Mr. Rivera, Mark Gonzalez, and all of their staff not only treated us with dignity and respect but exceeded our humble expectations and made this experience a lot smoother for my family and I. They facilitated what would normally be a stressful and almost impossible thing to do, saying goodbye one final time. It has been one of the hardest things I have ever been involved in planning but thanks to them it was an easy transition. I will forever hold undying gratitude for the Rivera family and their lovey staff. Words cannot ever truly express how thankful I am for everything they did for us. 🙏🏼

My father Armando J Rosales recently passed away and we were very fortunate to find Rivera Funeral Home. We had gone to other funeral homes in McAllen and it was very depressing to make every decision for the funeral and then get an estimated cost. At Rivera Funeral Home they offered us a package service with everything included, everything from the coffin to the arrangement of the honor guard at the burial site. They even had contact information for mariachi's, singer, and someone who would preform the rosary. They even offer 24 hour viewing. This was very helpful and it allowed my family to process my fathers death in a peaceful manner.
Service was above and beyond any expectation. The 2 days we were there, we truly felt like we were home and the instructions given during the Catholic mass and actual burial really helped. All the staff there added a certain class to my fathers funeral, which is indescribable in any words.
